One of my girls favorite things to do is to paint Travs toe nails while he sleeps. They got him on the 4th of July and we had a good laugh. The last time they got him the boys on the wrestling team saw his pink toes at practice. So funny!!

The Amazing Aunt Whitney!!!

Yesterday we had a fun time with Aunt Whitney, Uncle Ty and baby Lella. They came up to visit us in the evening and we had fun sitting around outside making yarn friendship bracelets and talking. Then I showed Whitney my new bike and she put on a little show of all the tricks she could do I it. I know what Uncle Ty should get her for her birthday...... Do you?
Ok so Aunt Whitney wasn't the only one doing tricks. We all got in on the action. We laughed so hard I almost wet myself.I'm sure my neighbors got a good laugh.

This year we enjoyed a good time at the Allen Family Annual Breakfast. It was really fun and we got to see Aunt Whitney, Uncle Ty and Baby Lella there. Then we all went to the 4th of July parade a little late which meant we had to walk forever to get there. Later that afternoon we met Dixie and her family, G&G Beutler and Aunt Robin back at the Allens for a BBQ. It was really good to see everyone and especially to say goodbye to Sarah who left on her mission later that week. We ended the day with fireworks in Lewiston Utah. It was a great day and it was just nice to relax and spend time with Travis.
I just want to Thank Whitney for being such a good Aunt. As you can see she was up with the kids trying to teach them how to be fiesty and get the candy. I have never understood why my kids won't just go after it like every other kid around them. Thank Goodness for good Aunties!!!

Suessical the Musical

For months Keri has been attending practices for a play called "Suessical the Musical". All her hard work really paid off when they performed last weekend. She played one of the jungle citizens and a judge behind a shadow screen. We are so proud of Keri and how had she worked on this play.

This kids' parents sat right in front of us and they were giving him the evil eye to get down. It was pretty funny but he was a monkey right?

More Cousin Time!!

Summer is about being with family and especially cousins right? We were so lucky and we got to babysit Josh and Natalies' little girls for a few days last month. We know these cousins from the couple of hours we spend together at Grandma's house when we go for dinner but it was really fun to really get to know them. They have the biggest personalities and the funniest ideas. Reese found her new love up at our house....TANG and I found my new little love.....Rhen. We had such a good time and can't wait until they let us babysit again.

Iowa Continued

When out in Iowa Uncle Scott was so good to the kids. He let them all have rides on the tractor. Levi was to scared but Buzz couldn't get enough of it. Also our cousins the Hansens had some neighbors who were taking care of 3 baby racoon that had fallen from the nest. I guess the mama won't let them back in so this family was just bottle feeding them and taking care of them until they were old enough to go out on their own. Pretty cool.

Iowa 2011

This year the kids and I traveled 15 hours all the way out to Aunt Dixie and Uncle Scotts' house. We had a fun filled week of frog catching, swimming, waterslides, bug catching, storms and heat. One day the kids were supposed to be playing on the tramp with the sprinkler under it and I came out to a bunch of mud monsters! It was very relaxing accept for Aunt Dixie who had to make bread 3 times because Kaleb loved it so much! The kids had fun catching up with their cousins and we can't wait to go out there again. Thanks for having us guys!

This year Kaleb turned 6!! We woke him up with a waffle breakfast in bed. He is not a morning person so after staring at for a couple of minutes he decided he would come up later and eat it. He requested a water fight birthday so he invited a couple of his best friends over and they had a short water fight because the weather still wasn't very warm. Then we had batman cake and opened presents. He got a punching bag, gloves, transformer, water mighty beans. I think he had a great day.

Steelhead fishing 2011

This year Grandpa Despain and his brothers decided to invite any of their kids who wanted to, to come fishing with them during the steelhead run. Travis and Kaleb went and spent a fun weekend with Grandpa and Uncle Larry. It turned out that it was a lot harder to catch them then it looked so nobody really caught anything but on the last day Kaleb caught a carp. They had a blast and will remember this trip for a long time to come.

Easter 2011

This year for Easter the Easter Bunny came while the kids were taking a nap. He hid eggs all over the yard and even up in the tree. Levi was so excited he forgot to put his pants on. Thanks Easter Bunnies!!!

OK so here are a lot of pictures that I need to catch up on. First of all I am proud to say that I finally graduated from Utah State University. It is kind of embarrassing to make it a big deal when it is you graduating. So sorry to all of you who didn't hear.

Next we spent Spring break with our cousins the Wolfleys. We had fun just playing and spending time together. Also we went to the Children's Museum in Salt Lake which was really fun. It is so nice to have cousins my kids ages.

Next, Keri had a great science fair project. Travis got petri dishes and they swabbed different items including, the top of the fridge (sick!), Keri's mouth, the kitchen sink and the toilet. Then they used cleaners to see the difference in the amount of bacteria that was on the dish. Yes it was sick but very interesting.

Next we have some random pictures of the kids on the tramp. It was still cold outside but they couldn't help getting in shorts and jumping!

These days I feel like I don't have a lot to post but I guess just being Geeks around the house is fun enough! Yesterday Kaleb went to a boot camp birthday party and brought home a bunch of camo prizes. Also he had make-up and fake blood on his face.He said that the dad had Nerf guns out and was shooting all the boys. Here are some pictures of the kids being Geeks with his prizes.

Last Thursday I brought home a sucker I won at bunko and all the kids were eyeing it, especially little Levi. I told him if he would go poo in the pot that he could have it. He just kept asking me about it and I never gave in. Finally at 9:30 pm or so he told me he wanted to go on the potty and sure enough he did! We had a big to-do for him with everyone cheering and making it a big deal. Could this be the end of my years of kids in diapers? NO! I had to make him put a diaper on to go to bed and the next day he told me he wanted to be a baby again and put a diaper back on. He may be lazy, but so am I because I don't want to force him. Cleaning poo out of undies is no fun!!!! At least this is a start!

Levi's Birthday was on the February 11th and it was an exciting one. It is so fun when kids get to the age that they understand the fun of Christmas and their birthday. This was the year for Levi and the excitement was more than he could take. Even after his birthday he would try and and use the line "but it's my birthday". The girls and I decorated the kitchen and got him a monster truck cake. Then we opened presents earlier in the day and went swimming at the Utah State Pool. It was a really fun day for everyone. We are so thankful for our little Levi although he isn't very little anymore. He puts a lot of Zestyness in our lives. I have never known the youngest to be the boss that that is what he proclaims himself to be to the other kids. He is super athletic and loves any type of ball. Recently we purchased a small basketball his size. Everyday he practices dribbling it up and down the hall and while running. It is pretty impressive if I do say so myself. We are so thankful for this little man and can't imagine life without him.

Christmas 2010

This year for Christmas Eve our sweet neighbors Roy and Faye were sick and couldn't come over for dinner and the pageant. We were able to have a older couple that are non-members over. When we asked them to come over they asked if we were going to be having cocktail or what? They are almost anti-religion but I don't know how you couldn't feel the spirit when kids are acting out the Christmas Pageant. Levi was so tired that he wouldn't participate and Kaleb gave us a sweet demonstration of how he can go cross-eyed during the story. Before the pageant started Keri did Kaleb's makeup with a liquid eyeliner which looked like permanent marker. He came out in his costume and our friends the Harris's said "What in the world is on your face!"The kids each got to open presents from each other which were new blankets for the boys and snuggies for the girls along with a new pair of pajamas. We had great night with a lot of laughs and sent the kids to bed early so they could get a good nights sleep while the big man came. They always sleep in the the same room which is usually the boy's room and this year they didn't see him but they did hear his bells which is always exciting!! Christmas morning always consists of the kids lining up at the bottom of the stairs by age and running up the stairs to see what Santa brought them. We just had a great time just being together and we are so thankful for all our friends and family!!

Salt Lake Trip 2010

Last year was our first year with Travis coaching wrestling for the high school so the holiday seemed so hectic and crazy that we didn't get to go to Salt Lake. This year we planned it out a little bit sooner to make sure that we got to go. We stayed 2 days this time and had a blast swimming, attending the festival of trees, watching a BYU basketball game and of course seeing the lights. Little America had had a bunch of cancellations so they gave us the top floor for only ten bucks more. Travis taught the kids how to throw snowballs at cars and the view was amazing. The only problem is that we picked the busiest weekend of the whole holiday season to go. The crowds were crazy and the kids were exausted by the time we got back to the hotel room which made for good nights of sleep!!

Ward Christmas Party 2010

The ward party was a repeat of last year and is always fun for the kids. There is always good food and a fun program with the kids singing. This is the first year Levi has really been into Santa Claus so he freaked out with excitement when Santa walked into the room. I think it is time that Santa invested in a new suit. His buttons were popping and his innerds were showing when the kids were sitting on his lap.

Thanksgiving 2010

This year as a mentioned in my last post we didn't get a chance to go to Boise for Thanksgiving so we decided to stay right here and have our own Thanksgiving. Travis and I slaved away (actually it really isn't that bad when you are only cooking for your family) and made a nice Thanksgiving dinner. We had a really nice time together and followed up dinner with a fun game of dodgeball with our friends the Madsens.

Snow Days

Winter came early this year and we had an enormous couple snow storms before and after Thanksgiving. This foiled our plans to go to Boise for Thanksgiving but it gave Travis and the kids the chance to top last years snowman for the "Biggest Snowman Ever!" I didn't get a picture of the snowman when he was done because he had to get completed several days later by a bunch of boys from the Preston High School Wrestling Team. But from the looks of this snowball you can tell it was enormous.

Blogging Slacker!!!

I know I am a blogging slacker like everyone else who started this adventure a couple of years ago. I am determined to do better so I guess that starts by updating what we have been doing in the last few months. Well at the beginning of November winter was in the air so Travis went and got a large load of wood and we did our annual wood chopping event. It really is fun to get out in the cool air and work together as a family. Buzz who is amazed at how things works helped a lot with the wood splitter and we filled the wood shed. We don't have to use a wood stove to stay warm in the winter but when we moved in we put one in our home because there is no other heat like it. I think our kids will look back on all the times they slept on the floor out by the wood stove and have great memories of getting ready for winter. Literally the night after we finished chopping wood a snow storm hit and we were so thankful we had it done.

Halloween 2010

This year we had a blast showing our friends Jessica and Damon the ropes of real Trick or Treating. Aunt Whitney brought them up and we had chicken noodle soup before hitting the streets to collect our sweet treasures. We had a blast watching the kids run from house to house until they were exausted and so was our van. It broke down 1/2 way through but that didn't stop us. Whitney and I took six kids with us in her little honda civic and continued. Thanks for coming up Whit and enjoy the pics everyone!!!

The Dark Game!

Last weekend we were all totally sick and couldn't go to church. The kids and I had had enough of being inside since we had been sick for 3 days already so we decided just to drive. We ended up in Star Valley WY and stopped over to see Whitney and Ty who were visiting his parents. Anyway on the way home we played this game where I would take a picture and the kids would pose and then we would all look at it. It was fun because every picture was a surprise due to the fact that it was dark. Here are the results of our funny game.

Yesterday for Labor Day Travis was sick in bed most of the day with the same sickness the kids and I had had all weekend long. Sorry for giving it to you Trav :( In the afternoon though he was determined to have fun with the kids so he took us up to a trout farm just 15 minutes up the road where you pay by the pound. We had a blast reeling in these big honkers! We kept 2 and ate them for dinner. Dru was so brave and was right there along side Buzz and Dad when gutted the fish and everything. Way to go you guys. Nice Catch!!

On Saturday it was Keri's 9th birthday and man I'm feeling old!! On Friday though we had a surprise birthday party with some of her friends at the pizza villa which was a lot of fun. Keri is such a good person and works so hard to do her best at everything. She loves pets especially Charlie and does such a good job babysitting her brothers and sisters and helping me out. Keri is a little bit of a dare devil and has the most contagious laugh. You just can't help but smile when you are around her. We don't know what we would do without our Keri Bears!!

School Begins

School has started and here are the kids back to school pictures. New to the group is Kaleb. He only goes Tuesdays and Thursdays so I had to take 2 days worth of pictures. He is so funny because the first 3 days of school I would ask him how school went and what he learned and everyday was the same answer, " I learned not to run or talk in the halls". I can't hardly get a word out of him about it but he seems to enjoy it.

Fair Fun!!

Every year we get into the Franklin County Fair by entering everything we can. This year the kids skipped entering the vegetable but entered a bunch of pictures they had drawn or colored, flowers, different types of cookies and brownies. I didn't realize how much they entered but but each kid made about 22-25 dollars and Kaleb came away winning Honorable Mention for his homemade brownies. We have so much fun doing this and seeing all the ribbons they win. I am so proud of my kiddos and hope they remember doing this for the rest of their lives.

Keri did such a good job at the pie eating contest! She didn't win but she did get a nose full of pie!!

We just celebrated Dru's 7th birthday and had a terrific time. She woke up in the morning a breakfast in bed of blueberry pancakes and whip cream. Then we took her and a couple of her friends to the movie "Ramona and Beezus."(I highly recommend this movie for anyone!) Next Dru got her ears pierced!!! She was really shaky and nervous but they had 2 people do it at the same time so it went really well. She looks so beautiful. Finally we went home and had a nice dinner of spaghetti and giant meat balls and cake and ice cream. Thanks to my friend Hanna Edwards for make the awesome cake. Dru got a brand new bike for her birthday of which being the speed demon that she is, she has already crashed and burned on it! We love you Druby and can't imagine life without you!! Dad always said Dru was Zainy!! and she still holds true to this. She is the spice of life.

More Summer Fun!

Aunt Sid and Uncle Dan came for a day and we had such a blast. We went up to the lake and took the canoe out. Then we had a wienie roast and Aunt Whitney met us up there. Thanks for coming you guys. I love the pictures of Jackson. He is such a cute boy!!

Preston Idaho is famous for having the first rodeo at night. There are 3 days of parades, rodeos and carnivals. We love participating in all the activities even though dad usually has to work with the police the whole time.

If you you have followed our blog at all you will know that we love to take Sunday drives in the mountains. One Sunday we went up to the Paris Ice Caves by Bear Lake. It was amazing to leave hot sun outside and to walk down into a cave where it was freezing and there was snow.

What not to do when babysitting!!!!

This is a little advice for all of you soon to be babysitters:

Last Saturday night Travis and I went on a date for about 4.5 hours and came home to any mother of girls nightmare. The babysitter took it upon herself to cut my children bangs. All I could do was laugh out of frustration. Even before I had my daughters I always said that if I had girls I would never let them have bangs because when I was growing up I always had them and hated them. The only reason I kept them was because I thought I had a big forehead. Anyway, we had to have a lady come fix their bangs before church and for the next few years you will see them with bobby pinned bangs back. Live and learn.

Sisterly Fun!!

Last weekend I had the privilege of having 3 of my 4 sisters here at my house with all their kids. We went up to a pretty secluded reservoir where there was a dock to jump off, a floating dock out in the water, and a nice grassy area with picnic tables to have a picnic. We spent about 5 hours up there baking in the sun and having a good time together. Thank you so much for coming you guys. I am so thankful for my sisters and that we all have good relationships with each other.

These girls had so much fun together! I think they will remember this for the rest of their lives.

Nolan found this crawdad and his brave mother picked it up. Then they released it on the boat dock where a boat trailer soon ran over it we think. Dang it we should have just eaten it!! Just kidding it is an ugly looking thing!!

Ok so I know I have been posting a lot lately but it is summer, sort of, so there is a lot to post. On Travis' birthday the kids had a blast making us laugh with their giant balloon booties! Then we popped the balloons with the sitting on them game. We all laughed until our stomachs hurt. Levi was not a fan of the loudness of the game so he didn't participate. Kaleb's Birthday

Kaleb had a great birthday this year. We were going to have a little party at the park with some of his friends so we just had them over to run around like a bunch nuts. Then when Dad got home we celebrated again with Buzz's requested dinner of tomato soup, cake, ice cream and presents. It was a fun day and we are so thankful to have Kaleb as a part of our family.

Today my man turns 34!!! I just wanted to write this post and tell Travis how much I love him. He is an amazing father, husband and man!! This year we will have been married 10 years and I can't believe that we were ever not together. The thing I love about Travis is how much he makes me laugh. Even if I don't feel like laughing he will break out in a little jig or sing a goofy song he will make up on the spot and make me laugh. There is no lack of fun in this house with him around. Another thing that I love about Travis is the respect he shows our children. I have rarely seen him raise his voice at them and he treats so kind and with so much patience and love. I have learned so much from him in this part of marriage. There isn't a day go that goes by that he doesn't say how much he loves me or that I am beautiful. He also treats and tells my girls they are the most beautiful girls around and I think they truely believe it. I love you Travis!! Thanks for being my best friend and love!

Dru the Monkey

Dru is our little real life monkey. She is always climbing, flipping, back bending or laying on her back with her legs in some contorted postion. Well the other day I went outside and this is what I found. She isn't able to climb this pole in the summer due to the infest of wasps that live inside the pole but I thought it was pretty funny. Also the other day Dru had her kindergarten program. The come out holding hands with a boy and then do a bunch of dances and singing for the parents. I had been hearing for months how Dru hated her partner because he would wipe his nose with his hand and then want to hold hers. She would always say "I won't hold his hand mom, I only hold his wrist!". Her partner is the boy to the right of her with the little black suit on. Mrs. Lucia has been a great teacher and we are so thankful for her patience. Not everyone can teach kindergarten you know!!!

Travis took Kaleb on his very first camping trip with the scouts last night... so I took the girls out for a night out in Logan. First we stopped off at Kohls and spent my gift certificate I got for Mother's Day.(notice us all wearing a new outfit.) Then we went to dinner at Chili's where they after our meal the manager came out and asked if he could bring the kids a little treat. He gave them each a little shake in a shot glass with sprinkles on top. We had so much fun laughing and being crazy. I know that the girls felt like a million bucks in their new outfits!! Levi was pooped after that so we came home and snuggled up watching a girl movie. I've always dreamed of the day I could take my girls out and have such fun. I'm sure this is the first of many! Bath Time!!

The other day I was babysitting my friends' kids. Everyone was coming inside for the evening, Levi was in the tub and the other kids were watching a movie. When I went in to check on Levi this is what I found. Levi's little buddy Asa had jumped in with him, shoes, socks,sweatshirt and all. That shows you how closely I was watching them. We all had a good laugh about it.

Funny Dru!

Dru is what we called "Zainy". She always has the best come backs and the funniest ways of doing things. The other day I put out a bunch of veggies and dip for the kids to eat and when I came back this is what I found, Kaleb laying back in a chair and Dru putting cucumbers on his eyes. She said she was doing a spa.
Yesterday Travis and I slept in and I got up to Dru and Keri changing Levi's poopy diaper for me. I didn't realize it until Dru took out the diaper that she had toilet paper up her nose and salad tossers to hold the bag the diaper is in. I had to get a picture because it was a good laugh. Thanks for watching out for you little brother girls!!

An Exciting Day!!

Last Friday Travis and I went to the Pioneer Elementary for a pretty exciting day. First of all Keri got to walk the halls because she got a hundred points with her accelerated reader quizzes. She not only gets to walk the halls but she gets to eat lunch with the principal. Way to go Keri!! The funniest thing was when they were done walking the hall right in front of us Travis turned to to me and said "Is that it? Don't we get to see Keri?" I guess she went by pretty fast because he didn't even see her.
After that Dru wanted to take Kaleb as her sharing, so we did the old put the kid in suitcase and surprise the class like Keri did for her kindergarten class. It was pretty fun and when Dru came home she said that everyone kept talking about it and everyone wanted to sit by her today. I guess it is nice to be a kindergarten celebrity once in while right? The funniest part was when we came into Dru's classroom this little autistic boy named Cameron kept saying "take my picture, take my picture, take my picture!" So I took his picture but I couldn't get him to stop talking long enough to do it. After he said "let me see, let me see, let me see!" So when I showed him the picture he said "Oh Cameron's crying!" We had a good laugh at that. So if you are wondering who this other little boy is it is Cameron's crying picture!

Easter 2010

For Easter we had a couple of families over who don't have any family in the area and had a really nice dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. We especially enjoyed watching conference and feeling the spirit of it here in our home. We are so Thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ who is the head of our church. We are thankful for his sacrifices for us and that we someday can rise to live with him again.

After a great year and a half of sleeping in his own bed Levi has decided he doesn't like it anymore. He sleeps down stairs so I keep a monitor on so I can hear him and man o man have I heard him. He would stand up and just cry for hours waking up Kaleb. So I decided to take a saws all to the crib and let him sleep in the bottom bunk. As you can see my boy knows his way up to my bedroom and has gone from someone who hates anyone even being near him when he sleeps to a huge, heat seeking, snuggle bug who takes over the bed. See that little space inbetween these two boys? That is where I was sleeping before I got up and took these pictures. I took these a month or so ago and it seem that things are getting better. If he doesn't come up to our room I can usually find him on the couch down in the TV room and I go cover him up at about 4:00am. I was probably crazy to take down the crib but I sure love this little man. He has the biggest smile and the funnest personality. Sometimes I wish I could pause time and have my kids all stay at this 2 year old stage.

Nate's Baptism

On Saturday our little nephew and cousin Nate got baptized. It is so hard to think he is old enough and that we have been married that long. I remember when Darrick and Alicia told us they were pregnant just after we got pregnant with Keri. Buzz the Wrestler!!

Yesterday was Kaleb's first wrestling match. He got to go up to Pocatello with Dad and wrestle a couple of kids his same weight. Needless to say buzz got whooped but it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. If I can figure it out I will put the video of it on here. He got a bronze medal and we are so proud of him. These are a couple of pictures the morning after.

Boise

2 weeks ago Travis had to go up to Boise for a State seeding meeting for wrestling so I invited myself and the kids to tag along. We had so much fun hanging out with Uncle Ethan, Aunt Emily and Cousin Silas and we can't wait to see them again. They took us to a really fun park by their house and the weather was incredible. The best part about the trip was.... THERE WAS NO SNOW ON THE GROUND!!!! Here are a few picture I took of everyone.

The Dare!!

One freezing Sunday morning (church is at 1:30), Travis came up with a dare for the kids. He dared them to run across the yard in their bare feet and put feed on the bird feeder. Of course the kids took the challenge and froze their tooties off. Next he dared them to roll in the snow with just their undie roos on. Of course my little dare devils can never turn down a dare from Dad so they did this too. I won't include the pictures of that. What a bunch of nuts we have living in this place!!

So since I haven't updated the blog at all lately I thought I would give you a clue to what we have been doing lately. It takes up a lot of time but we really enjoy watching (most of the time as you can tell from the pictures). Travis is the head coach for Preston High School's wrestling program. They have meets and tournaments all over Idaho so a lot of the time we tag along. As for doing other things, January and February are a bore so there isn't much to share.

For all of you who even care, our cat ran away yesterday. It was a dream come true for Travis and I. We felt good that we got him healthy and fat and that he ran off into the wild again. He was a good cat and a lot of fun but we wanted him to do his business outside. So the consequences of not getting a litter box are that he had a few accidents on our carpet which was more than I could take. So, it was fun while it lasted Gus!

New Kiddy!

Last week the kids heard a cat meowing outside our house but when they opened the door it ran off behind the neighbors house across the street. Then that night Travis kept waking me up to tell me there was a cat outside that wouldn't stop meowing, so at 5:00 am we opened up the front door and that same little kitty was in a puff ball right under our feet. When Travis went to pick it up it fell over like it was frozen. So we brought it in, built a fire and layed him by it and gave him something to eat. It looked like some other animal had been chewing on his head because he had about 4 gashes that were bleeding and oozing puss. He didn't move almost all morning so I called the vet and they said they would put him down for free because he was a stray. Literally this cat was just a bag of bones. I swear after I got off the phone with the vet he got up and started walking around a little bit, he must have heard me talking about putting him down. So I ran him to the vet and of course he was all perky while we were there but the vet said he needed some antibiotics and he would be fine. I told him I was hoping he would tell me there was no hope and that they had to put him down but he said that he was actually a really friendly cat and that he would fatten up within 2 weeks and that his wounds would heal. Dang it!! I couldn't bring myself to put down this little kitty so he came home with me. So we now own this little kitty named "Gus" and are enjoying having him around. He tolerates the kids mauling him and treating him like a doll, in fact I think he really likes the attention and all the food. He is already starting to fatten up. The funniest thing is that I think Travis likes him the best. I guess Heavenly Father has a funny way of doing things. Not but a week ago Travis and I were talking about getting a cat or something even though it is against my better judgement, and here we are a week later with a little kitty here in our home.

Funny little boy!

It sure seems like Levi has grown up a ton lately. Not only have I noticed that his clothes are getting a little small on him but he is talking a lot and has the funniest little personality. On Monday night he crawled up onto Travis' lap and fell asleep with his hands behind his head relaxing, and yesterday we put big boy undies on him. He didn't go in the pot but he did hold it for about 2 hours. Dru put his undies on the wrong way the first time so that is what these pictures are of. It was so funny because he wouldn't let us catch him to change them around. He loves to jump and run and has the cutest buns you just can't help but squeeze! I think he really liked the freeness of the undies and has sat on the pot 2 times since them. I'm waiting for that light bulb to go off when they realize they can do it. It may be a year or two but at least he likes it right now.

Christmas 2009

This year was really nice. Grandpa and Grandma Beutler came up on Christmas eve along with uncle Andy and we kicked off the night with an awesome ham dinner. Than we took our pagent over to our sweet neighbors the Olsens. Their adult children actually decided to come up this year so they were able to come over so they asked us to come over to their house. The kids did the pagent really well even though our shepherd decided to sit in the middle kept poking the neighbors' daughters' dog with his stick (as you can see in the pictures) and had to have a cookie to be good. Then Roy and Faye each told them a Christmas story. Of course they ended the night by giving us a bunch of treats and egg nog. After the pagent we came home and had a bit of a wrestling match and started to watch Kung Fu Panda until a visitor was heard outside. Dru even said she saw him wave to her!! All the kids jumped into bed at about 9:00 to make sure they were asleep on time except they were so excited it took a little bit longer to get to sleep. Dru and Kaleb swear they saw the big guy and Rudolf on the neighbors roof but for sure they heard him yell Merry Christmas heard his bells ringing. It was a fun night,one to be remembered. Mom and Dad were woken up at 1:00 from little excited kids but we made them go back to bed until they woke up again at 6:00. It was a great Christmas and we had a great time with G&G Beutler and Uncle Andy. Keri got a Camera from Santa, Dru a little sewing machine with a bunch of fabric, Kaleb a matchbox car track set (which ended up missing a piece darn those elves) and Levi got a wood train set.

Poor Levi was so freaked out from seeing Santa he wouldn't go to sleep and finally when he did we had to wake him up again in the morning. Poor little kids who don't understand yet!

We always make the kids line up at the bottom of the stairs by age and they get to run up to see the tree and their presents.

I though I would share some pictures of Levi's first hair cut. He always has had a huge mullet in the back which grows way faster than the rest of his hair. So a month or two ago I was in the shower when I hear the clippers and look out and Travis was cutting his hair. I think he look great with his new hair cut but he is still a little bit thin in the front. Way to go little man!!

For all you wondering about the previous post... When we were little we would watch WWF wrestling probably on Saturday mornings, and this guy Ravishing Rick Rude would always have a picture of a lady printed on his spandex. Then after he won a match he would put his hands on his head and do a pelvic/hip swinging move with this picture of a lady on his spandex. So in turn, we would go out on the trampoline and wrestle and who ever would win would stand up and do the pelvic hip move. I think my mom even has a video of Joe and Whitney when Whitney was about 3 years old doing this, while getting in front of each other so they could be in front of the camera. I think they did it until one of them almost fell of the tramp. Crazy funny memories Eh?

Football is finally over!!

On Friday Aunt Whitney and Uncle Tyrell took the girls up to Star Valley so Travis and I took the boys the final football game up in Burley Idaho. Holy cow they have a nice school and facility!!!! Anyway, we had a great time besides the fact the keys got locked in the car and the fact that McDonalds raised their prices quite a bit. Here are some funny pictures we took as mom wrestled the boys during the game. We had a good time but had a hard time making it home because we were all so tired. Thank you Sister Simpson for showing my girls such a good time!!

Sharing Woes

I'm not one for blogging without pictures but I have to tell this story because I know many of you can relate. Today as I was driving the girls down to the bus stop Dru has a vision that it is sharing today and she didn't bring anything. So while waiting for the bus I rifled through whatever was in the car to try and find something that tickles her fancy enough to take for sharing so my girl doesn't get on the bus crying.

1st attempt-
"How about this wrestling uniform magizine? You can tell everyone that dad is a wrestling coach and tell them that dad is ordering all the uniforms"!!

Conference Weekend

We were going to stay home for conference weekend but after the first session we got the wild hair to take off down to Spainish Fork so Travis could go with family to the priesthood session. Travis went with Jake, Darren, and Darrick and they went wingers afterward. I think they had a really good time. On Sunday we went to Brenda and Steves house for a breakfast of cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, sweet potatoe hashbrowns, eggs, juice, bacon and sausage. YUM!!! Then we decided to go somewhere up by Heber City to see the salmon run. It was amazing to see fish that big up close. We had a great weekend everybody!! Thanks!

Keri is getting Baptized!!

My little man is so different than all my other kids. I can only imagine that his father was the same way growing up. Levi is a little independent cuss and climbs everything. Somehow he got the cereal off the counter and made this mess. Then while I was cleaning it up he climbed up on top of the computer desk. Five minutes after that I found him back behind the wood stove. He sure loves to keep me busy!

Sunday Drive to BearLake

Yesterday we went for a Sunday drive up to Bearlake because the weather was beautiful. We decided to stop over by the boating docks because we saw a sail boat coming and we were also able to catch a glimpse of one going out. We played football, checked out all the boats, tried to fly a kite (too windy) and just enjoyed our time together. We came home one exausted crew but we sure had fun!

Bears turns 8!!

Holy cow it is such a weird feeling to have your little baby turn something like 8 years old. Sometimes when I look at her I still see her chubby little baby face. On the 4Th Keri turned 8 which is such an exciting birthday, in fact she was so excited she woke up at 6:30 so she beat us up for her own breakfast in bed. At school she brought cupcakes for her class and Mom snuck a secret note and treat into her lunch. Then that night Aunt Robin came up and we went down to Logan and got Keri's ears pierced. Dru had a hard time giving the excitement of the day to just Keri especially when it came to the ear piercing. I have a feeling Dru is going to want the same thing for her birthday next year. The next day when Travis could be home, we opened presents in which she got two toy dogs in caring cases, an umbrella, 1 pair of pants,2 shirts and 2 pair of pajamas. We usually get 2 of the main toy for the birthday girl because they always give one to their sister. I love to watch these two best friends open their presents and say " Which one do you want Dru (or Keri)?" We ended the day with a butterfly cake and the BYU game where they beat Oklahoma!! Yeah!!!

School Days 2009

Today was Dru's first ever day of school and Keri's first day of Second Grade. Keri has Mrs. Combs and Dru has Mrs. Lucia (both the grandma type especially Mrs. Lucia) so I think it should be a good year. Dru was so excited in the morning she said " I can't believe I get to ride the bus!!) Lets hope she keeps that attitude through all her school years!! Yeah Right!! Also, Dru has been so nervous that she didn't really eat for two days and had a tummy ache the night before.

Jordenelle Triathelon 2009

On Saturday Travis did a triathelon up at the Jordenell reservoir with his brother Darrick. He did really good coming in at 1 hour and 45 minutes. Way to go Travis!!

Bloomington 2009

A week or so ago Brenda and Steve came up to visit so we thought we would show them a good time and take them up to one of our favorite places, Bloomington Lake. It was only 52 degrees outside but Travis decided that was warm enough for him so he made a swimsuit out of a sweatshirt and went off the rope swing. It was hilarious and we all had a good time. Thanks for coming up Brenda and Steve.

Washington

The first week of August I took all the kids and Caravaned up to Washington with Sidnee and her kids. The trip took us about 14 hours when it should have taken us 11 but when you got kids that need the bathroom you got to stop. We had so much fun we can't wait to go back. It was a little hard to do anything with 9 kids but Dan was so great to watch the kids sometimes at night and we found some fun things at garage sales. We would just put a movie on in the car and leave the kids in the car. Thanks for the good times cousins and Aunt Sidnee. It should only get easier from here every year our kids get older!! These pictures are of us playing on the Columbia River. Sid and Dan live 10 minutes away from it.

The Franklin County Fair was this week which we love around this house. We didn't enter as many things as we have in the past but we had a good time at the car show, seeing the animals and entering the contests.

Dru Turns 6!!

This week we had a 2 day long party for Dru's Birthday. The first day she got breakfast in bed, bed decorated when she woke up and presents at night. The second day Aunt Brenda, Uncle Steve, G&G Beutler and Whitney and Tyrell came up for a spaghetti feed (Dru's favorite dinner) and a volcano cake with ice cream. We are so Thankful for our little Dru. Travis always said she would be "Zany" and that she is. Dru is our little rough little girl who loves her brothers and sisters very much and is so giving and sweet. More than once she has given her presents to her siblings when she get them so they can all have one. Dru is our little snuggle bug and loves to sit on people's laps and snuggle in bed with you and always has been this way. Thank you for being such a special part in our family Dru!! You make life fun!!

Preston Night Rodeo with the Beutlers

On July 30- August 1st I had the priviledge of having my sisters, mom, and all their kids here at our house. It was rodeo weekend here in Preston so we had a lot of fun things to do like rafting the river, three days of parades,FCMC clown around and many other things. Here are a few pictures from the Rodeo. Preston Biathelon

On August 1st Sidnee, Whitney and I all accomplished a goal we had been working towards for a quite a while, we ran the Winward Biathelon here in Preston. It was a 5K run and 14 mile bike. The run wasn't so bad but the bike was really hard because we only had mountain bikes. I am really glad we did it and accomplished our goal!!

Logan Triathelon

Last weekend Travis and Darrick ran in the a Triathelon in Logan. I was a little bit worried about Travis doing this since he only did about a weeks worth of training for it but he did awesome!! Darrick won third in his age group, Trav didn't place but did really good. We are so proud of you guys!! Way to go!!

On Friday Uncle Ty and Aunt Whitney took Keri and Dru camping up at Tony's Grove in Logan Canyon. It was a little bit weird just having the boys but when I came up stairs I found a bunch of shirtless wrestlers! We did have a lot of fun and the girls especially had a blast. Plant Explosion!!

I can't tell you how thankful that my husband has a very green thumb. He does such a good job designing and putting plants together that look good together. One of our favorite things to do is walk around together early in the morning and look at all the plants and their progress. Our yard has so many beautiful things blooming right now I can't help but show you a few!!

I don't have too many pictures of the 4th but we sure had a fun time with family. Joe and Meghan came from Colorado, Whit and Ty from Logan, Robin came from Bountiful and my parents came on Friday night for a barbeque. On saturday Whit and I woke up super early after a night of Wii tounamenting and ran a 5K for me and 10k for her. It was fun when we finished and Travis surprised me by showing up at the end with all the kids in their pajamas. Then went to the Lewiston parade where for the first year my kids were competetive in getting the candy (which is exciting) and then finished the afternoon by rafting the Bear River. It really was so fun!! Thanks for coming up you guys!!

Here is a picture that truly suites Levi's personality. He loves throwing food at his mom. I've even had a couple bottles bounce off this cranium. I don't know why he thinks it is so funny.

Here are the first fruits from the garden. For family night we weeded the garden and picked peas. Too bad none of them even made it to the kitchen. At least my kids like vegetables!!

Fun Saturday

Yesterday we had a good time just taking it easy. First of all we went on a drive in the morning up to Grace Idaho to the Black Fork River. There was this awesome bridge that was kind of scary to cross. The river kind of ripples as it goes because it is where lava once flowed. (I don't know if that even made any sense). Then we came home and Dad made a slip and slide for kids. Levi wasn't really interested but Dad decided to bowl him down it one time anyway. We ended the night with fireworks for Idaho Days in Franklin. It was nice to have Travis all to ourselves for one day.

The Dare

The other night Travis dared the kids to jump into the raft filled with freezing hose water and put their heads under. It was about 7:30 at night and wasn't very warm outside so I was surprised they did it but they got to run inside to a hot shower afterwards. Way to go Crazy Kids!!

Ice Cream

Last Saturday we had Whit and Ty up for a BBQ and Travis made homemade ice cream. We were all very impressed because it was so thick. He made Vanilla with raspberries and maderine oranges in it. It was soooo good and even better after being frozen in the freezer!! Way to go Babe!!!

Travis the Cop???

It is official, Travis is the new copper in town. He was chosen to be a reserve cop which means he has to volunteer about 20 hours a month for now. It is really official because he has to carry a gun and have a bunch of training and stuff like being pepper sprayed and tased (kind of scary). He was even featured in the paper. We are so proud of him! Way to go Babe!

For Dad's Birthday this year we took the kids to the zoo and had a blast. Then later that night we dropped the kids off at Aunt Robin's house and met Uncle Darrick and Aunt Alisha for dinner at Toucanos. Then we hit a very exciting Bee's game. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect. Thanks for watching the kids Robin and Happy 33rd Birthday Travis. We love you so much and are so thankful you are such a good husband and father!!!!

Our little boy is 4 years old and I can't hardly believe it. I started the day early with a beautiful sun rise and the girls soon followed. They made breakfast in Bed for Kaleb but as we were taking it down to him he met us on the stairs and told us he had an accident. So instead of breakfast in bed he had breakfast in the tub and I fed him. Later on we had a little party for him with Uncle Ty and Aunt Whitney and our friends the Royers stopped by too. It turned out to be a nice day and Kaleb finally got the toy he has wanted for years, a buzz light year doll. It was so cute this morning when he stumbled up the stairs to our room with Buzz in hand the first thing he said was "Me and Buzz had a good sleep." We just love this boy!!

This year for Memorial Day we had Aunt Robin, Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Ty and Aunt Whitney up for a barbeque. We also had a good fun with dodgeball on the tramp going and a little bit of basketball. To end the night we did our tradition of going up to the cemetary and reminding our kids of what this holiday is all about. There was is always good spirit when we do this even though we don't know anyone that is buried up there.
