Halloween 2009

Our halloween started out great with our sweet neighbors the Olsens making the kids some of their witches brew. They are so sweet to us!

New Photos

On Sunday Travis and I took the family up in mountains to take some family pictures. For the most part they turned out really good. Let me know which ones to have developed, I need to order some this week.

Football is finally over!!

On Friday Aunt Whitney and Uncle Tyrell took the girls up to Star Valley so Travis and I took the boys the final football game up in Burley Idaho. Holy cow they have a nice school and facility!!!! Anyway, we had a great time besides the fact the keys got locked in the car and the fact that McDonalds raised their prices quite a bit. Here are some funny pictures we took as mom wrestled the boys during the game. We had a good time but had a hard time making it home because we were all so tired. Thank you Sister Simpson for showing my girls such a good time!!

Sharing Woes

I'm not one for blogging without pictures but I have to tell this story because I know many of you can relate. Today as I was driving the girls down to the bus stop Dru has a vision that it is sharing today and she didn't bring anything. So while waiting for the bus I rifled through whatever was in the car to try and find something that tickles her fancy enough to take for sharing so my girl doesn't get on the bus crying.

1st attempt-
"How about this wrestling uniform magizine? You can tell everyone that dad is a wrestling coach and tell them that dad is ordering all the uniforms"!!
NO

2nd attempt
"How about this quarter? You can tell everyone that it is an Arizona quarter and show them the picture on the back"!!
NO

"Motor oil"?
(giggling) -NO-

4th attempt
"How about one of these movies. You can tell them about them how you really like it"!

I don't want to think of myself as a genius but I do like to think I save the world from a meltdown once in a while, at least my kids world. I love my little kiddies and couldn't live without them!

Conference Weekend

We were going to stay home for conference weekend but after the first session we got the wild hair to take off down to Spainish Fork so Travis could go with family to the priesthood session. Travis went with Jake, Darren, and Darrick and they went wingers afterward. I think they had a really good time. On Sunday we went to Brenda and Steves house for a breakfast of cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, sweet potatoe hashbrowns, eggs, juice, bacon and sausage. YUM!!! Then we decided to go somewhere up by Heber City to see the salmon run. It was amazing to see fish that big up close. We had a great weekend everybody!! Thanks!

Keri is getting Baptized!!

Last night Keri had her interview with the bishop to get baptized. Everything went good and she is officially getting baptized on Oct. 10th. We are so proud of her!

I smell trouble III!

My little man is so different than all my other kids. I can only imagine that his father was the same way growing up. Levi is a little independent cuss and climbs everything. Somehow he got the cereal off the counter and made this mess. Then while I was cleaning it up he climbed up on top of the computer desk. Five minutes after that I found him back behind the wood stove. He sure loves to keep me busy!

Sunday Drive to BearLake

Yesterday we went for a Sunday drive up to Bearlake because the weather was beautiful. We decided to stop over by the boating docks because we saw a sail boat coming and we were also able to catch a glimpse of one going out. We played football, checked out all the boats, tried to fly a kite (too windy) and just enjoyed our time together. We came home one exausted crew but we sure had fun!

Oreo Fun!!

As you might have known from past posts, one of Travis' favorite things to do is eat oreo cookies and milk with his kids. Here is a little oreo session I caught the other day when he came home for lunch.

Bears turns 8!!

Holy cow it is such a weird feeling to have your little baby turn something like 8 years old. Sometimes when I look at her I still see her chubby little baby face. On the 4Th Keri turned 8 which is such an exciting birthday, in fact she was so excited she woke up at 6:30 so she beat us up for her own breakfast in bed. At school she brought cupcakes for her class and Mom snuck a secret note and treat into her lunch. Then that night Aunt Robin came up and we went down to Logan and got Keri's ears pierced. Dru had a hard time giving the excitement of the day to just Keri especially when it came to the ear piercing. I have a feeling Dru is going to want the same thing for her birthday next year. The next day when Travis could be home, we opened presents in which she got two toy dogs in caring cases, an umbrella, 1 pair of pants,2 shirts and 2 pair of pajamas. We usually get 2 of the main toy for the birthday girl because they always give one to their sister. I love to watch these two best friends open their presents and say " Which one do you want Dru (or Keri)?" We ended the day with a butterfly cake and the BYU game where they beat Oklahoma!! Yeah!!!

School Days 2009

Today was Dru's first ever day of school and Keri's first day of Second Grade. Keri has Mrs. Combs and Dru has Mrs. Lucia (both the grandma type especially Mrs. Lucia) so I think it should be a good year. Dru was so excited in the morning she said " I can't believe I get to ride the bus!!) Lets hope she keeps that attitude through all her school years!! Yeah Right!! Also, Dru has been so nervous that she didn't really eat for two days and had a tummy ache the night before.

Jordenelle Triathelon 2009

On Saturday Travis did a triathelon up at the Jordenell reservoir with his brother Darrick. He did really good coming in at 1 hour and 45 minutes. Way to go Travis!!
